Zetor has put the finishing touches to its new-style Crystal HD 170 (171hp) and Forterra HSX and HD models, the final piece in the update process being a new cab roof.
The bonnet, upgrades to the external brakes, front axle and revised transmission were all included on the Crystal HD 170 shown at LAMMA. The new cab roof completes the job and brings the tractor into line with the recently updated Major and Proxima ranges.
As well as new LED work lights and control panel, there is also a wider front loader window and the sleek design is claimed to improve operator visibility out through the front of the tractor.
Managing director Nigel Wilson of Zetor UK expects the first of the new tractors to arrive in the UK within the next week. “The new-style roof also completes a series of upgrades on the Forterra HSX and HD models,” said Mr Wilson, “the first batch of which are expected for delivery in the UK from August.”

In the meantime, the new-look Zetor tractor ranges are praised by dealers. Company director and manager David Tunstall of Tunstall Tractors says the Czech tractor maker has really upped its game. “The quality and finish is outstanding right down to the chrome-finished wheel nuts,” he said.
