AGCO has agreed changes with existing dealer partners Scot Agri and Ancroft Tractors on the distribution of the Massey Ferguson and Valtra brands in southern Scotland.
Under these changes (effective October 1), Scot Agri becomes an exclusive Massey dealer for the Lothian and Borders area with outlets in Haddington and Kelso. The move complements the company’s existing Massey outlets in Forfar, Huntly and Fraserburgh, covering Angus and Aberdeenshire.
Ancroft Tractors will add the Valtra franchise to its existing Fendt business making Ancroft Tractors an exclusive Fendt and Valtra dealer for the Lothian and Borders area and North Northumberland. The company operates from outlets at Macmerry, Kelso, Berwick-upon-Tweed and a service centre at Swarland near Alnwick.
“These new distribution arrangements are the latest changes that will strengthen brand dedication and focus which will continue to deliver market share growth for each of our brands” outlines Mark Casement, director distribution management for AGCO.
“We have a clear strategic direction that places an emphasis on maximising brand exclusivity while always improving dealer viability, and we are pleased to make these changes while offering all our valued partners the opportunity to grow their business with us in the years ahead. We are confident that this focus will continue to develop the excellent customer-centred support that customers across the area enjoy and expect from our dedicated dealer partners.”
