McConnel has introduced a new 1.2m and 1.6m flail head called the TuffCut. It features a new larger diameter rotor with weld on cast lugs which are said to be 65% stronger than the wrap around alternatives. The flails are now held in place with captive bolts which cannot rotate, again aimed at extending service life and easier replacement.
