Kubota Corporation has bought 120ha (1.2 million m²) of land in Georgia to establish a new R&D base in the US.
Part of a plan to drive to globalise its R&D structure, when complete the new facility will be used to develop mowers, utility vehicles and implements for tractors.
The plan is to step up local development and launch products that better cater to the market needs in a timely fashion. Costing around €85 million, the new R&D base is expected to be ready for action sometime Q2 2022.
