Some 130-150 new self-propelled foragers are sold in the UK each year, and Krone is looking to its new four-model range of Big Xs to increase its share of this highly competitive market
The launch of the new four-model range began at Agritechnica when the German firm previewed the Liebherr V8 powered Big X 680, 780 and 880. The company used a farm near Berlin, Germany, to complete the range with the flagship Big X 1180. With a maximum power of 1,156hp, the 1180 is not only the world’s biggest horsepower chopper but it’s also believed to be the most powerful commercially produced agricultural machine available.
