Suitable for all types of solid concrete and rubber floors, the Barn-E slurry robot collects material and stores it in a container.
The two models, 155 and 185, provide working widths of 1.55m and 1.85m respectively. Moving at just 6.5m/min, the company says it is easy for cows to anticipate its movements.
Able to clean floors containing sawdust and chopped straw up to a maximum length of 6.0cm, left and right scraper arms convey material to the centre. It is elevated by a chain-driven rotating paddle rotor into the storage container, which when full holds 370 litres (155) and 500 litres (185).
Navigating autonomously around a building using transponders, once the battery-powered device completes a route, it then drives to a storage put to dump the contents. The routes and times can be checked and changed via the JOZ route manager application on a smartphone or computer.
The Dutch company recommends cleaning solid floors every two hours. The maximum surface area the Barn-E can clean in this time is around 550m² (155) and approx. 700m² (185). The maximum battery charging time is two hours.
The empty weights of the 155 and 185 and 625kg and 725kg respectively. The maximum weights are 920kg and 1.1t.
The first of the 68cm high units are already operational in the Netherlands. The company plans to ship the first units to the UK next spring.
