He adds that farmers are wanting the time saving of being able to quickly ‘hitch on and go’ compared to the usual mounted machines aimed at this customer segment. A Honda petrol powered engine option means the sprayers can also be used with an ATV/UTV or farm truck.

Both models have a tandem axle and galvanised frame, with a couple of tweaks already in the pipeline such as a step at the front to make filling easier. A hydraulic version of the 12m boom is also being developed.

The spec of the sprayer can be pretty much tailored to the end user as Clever Agri has a vast selection of parts. The smaller, self-powered unit on show has a price tag of €5,400 (plus VAT) with electric sections, suction and pump out arrangement. The larger machine with pto-powered AR pump is around €8,500. The fabrication work is being done by local fabricator Killerig Engineering.
