John Deere’s 8RX four-track tractor and X9 combine harvester, two show-stoppers from the 2019 Agritechnica, will be at the Cereals event for the first time this week.
Covid forced the cancellation of the real show in June 2020 although they were both available for virtual inspection at the Cereals Live online event.
Power to the X9 1000 and X9 1100 combines is from a 13.6-litre PowerTech six-pot block (up to 700hp). Grain tank capacity is 14,800 litres on the X9 1000 and up to 16,200 litres on the X9 1100, with unloading rates of up to 186lit/sec.
The 7R350, the flagship of the new range, will also be on display. Fitted with the AutoPowr transmission, the top model develops up to 388hp and has a power to weight ratio of 29kg/hp.
Trailed models to look out for in the Sprays & Sprayers demonstration arena include the recently-launched R740i (4,000-litre). Available with boom widths from 18 to 30m, new features include the multi-functional control lever, operator station and PowrSpray dual-circuit solution system. The latter is claimed to reduce filling times and increase accuracy. Also available with a closed transfer system-ready option, the R740i can be equipped with individual nozzle control.
The new Mazzotti MAF4080 (4,000-litre) self-propelled sprayer will also be on display. Powered by a 175hp Stage V engine, the spec includes a new John Deere-sourced operator station and dual-circuit solution system. Boom options are from 24 to 36m.
Cereals 2021 starts tomorrow (June 30) and is also open on July 1. The location is Boothby Graffoe in Lincolnshire. Car parks open at 6:00am and the gates at 7:30am. The stands open at 8:00am.
