The Hosiers began farming the north east corner of the Salisbury Plain in the 1920s, and since combines arrived on the farm they’ve stuck with traditional walker machines to maintain straw quality. For the past nine years, cutting duties have fallen to a six-walker New Holland CX8080, although for the 2018 season this was succeeded by the brand’s latest flagship conventional model — a CX8.90.
