The first 64-series RoGator is in Europe and has already been sold to a contracting business in the Ukraine. But before heading east, this machine spent a few training days at Ag-Chem Europe inthe Dutch town of Grubbenvorst, where profi international’s Henk Beunk gave it the once-over.
Standing beside the monster 1064 removes all doubts. This is a professional machine. Just look at the size of it: A length of 6.84m, height of 3.66m, 14.9 R46 tyres, track width (stepless adjust) between 305 and 386cm. Impressive though these vital stats undoubtedly are, it’s the final measurement that represents
the main obstacle to better sales in countries such as France, Germany and Great Britain, where the current track-thinking resides somewhere between 150 and 200cm.
Three RoGators of the former 54-series were sold in Europe – all in the eastern part, the region that provides the field size in which a RoGator can demonstrate its full potential. Ag-Chem expects to sell
substantially more of this new 64- series, because it can now utilise Agco’s worldwide network and, just as important, because economies in the former eastern bloc countries are slowly strengthening.
