While Dale Drills had a mounted machine for smaller farmers wanting to get on the direct drilling ladder and bigger trailed units for those with a lot of ground to cover or fitting in with controlled traffic it lacked a mid-sized line-up. To address this they unveiled the 3.0-6.0m trailed Eco T at Cereals
Direct drilling is certainly becoming a buzz-word for UK arable farmers, as manufacturers race to the market with new machines or dust off existing products. Dale Drills has been in the game for nearly 20 years and not just selling the idea but also putting it into practice on the family’s Lincolnshire farm.
Back in the 01/2013 issue we looked at the large scale trailed Eco-Drill and since then, Dales have strengthened the ranks with smaller 3.0m to 4.0m mounted models. But it was missing a machine to bridge the gap between the two, so it has come up with the Eco T, a trailed 3.0m to 6.0m line up aimed at the mid-sized farmer.
