British operators are the preferred choice for the eight-month season for North American custom cutter JKD Harvesting
From early May until late November hundreds of combines from North American custom cutters (combine contractors) follow crops as they ripen in the southern states to the top end of the country, some of the companies even crossing the border into Canada. Main crops include wheat and oilseed rape. Once this is finished the combines return south to tackle ripening soya bean and maize grain crops.
