The Czech manufacturer reckons to have made more than 36,000 Proxima tractors since the launch in 2004. One of the most popular models to leave the Brno plant, the latest versions have a Stage V engine and a number of other updates.
Set to replace the current Stage IIIB models, the most important update is the new four-cylinder turbocharged 3.6-litre Deutz Stage V (DPF,SCR,DOC) common rail block, and the new exhaust pipe is said to result in significantly smoother and quieter engine operation.
Other updates include improved dashboard controls, a 21-litre capacity AdBlue tank and a gearbox oil quality indicator. The on-board air compressor is also new for cleaning radiators and pumping up tyres. On the options front, improved fixing points of the external lockable toolbox allows it to carry more weight.
There is no change to the new 97-125hp Proxima line up, which comprises the CL100/110, GP100/110 and HS100-120. The first of the new models are expected to arrive in UK and Ireland at the end of this year.
