Dutch firm AP Machines has developed at monster shear grab capable of handling 12m3 of silage at a time! Built for a large biogas installation in Texas (US), the 5.5m-wide and 11t-heavy grab requires just a few minutes to four-pass load a 48m3 capacity truck.
Fitted to a Komatsu WA600 wheeled loader, the test unit is currently tackling an 80m x 50m clamp filled with sorghum. Providing it is successful, then the plan is to not only increase the size of the clamp by 400%, but also to build 10 of them in a row.
