A John Deere 6250R tractor equipped with a Kuhn four-rotor Gyrorake GA 15131 (14.7m) has set a new windrowing world record, raking 188.9ha of grass on four different fields in eight hours.
The world record was set on a dairy farm in the central Jutland region of Denmark. The tractor was driven by Mikael Skeldal, who runs the farm with his family.
Operating at a maximum speed of 22km/hr, the highest output the 6250R (max. power 300hp) achieved was 32ha/hr. The average for the eight hours was 23.6ha/hr.
The record attempt was validated by the test centre of the DLG (German Agricultural Society).
