Czech manufacturer SMS is in the process of expanding its Severit G cultivator range with a 12m model.

Currently in the final test phase, but already available to order, by combining different units (front crossboad/roller, chisels/tines, finishing bar/roller), the 12m Severit G 1200 levels the land, break up clods and prepares the seedbed in a single pass.

Designed to operate at speeds up to 15km/hr behind a 320hp tractor, the four frames on the 10t semi-mounted cultivator are said to provide good ground contour following. In the field, the 550/45-22.5 transport wheels are positioned in front of the working sections. The four frames fold forward for a transport width of 2.9m.

The wide spacing between the different working sections is said to prevent blockages when working in trashy conditions, and the wide range of options includes different types of rollers, tines and shares, and hydraulic depth adjustment.
