Dutch self-propelled vehicle maker Vredo reckons AGCO’s decision to stop making the TerraGator has left a gap in the market for a powerful, high capacity and high speed self-propelled manure spreader. It is a gap the Dutch manufacturer is looking to fill with its VT4546 Tebbe, which will be demonstrated to French contractors later this month. Developed as successor of the VT3936, the company says the newcomer can accurately apply manure at rates as low as 1-5tph at speeds up to 30-35kph.  The 15cu.m. (20t) Tebbe spreader further increases the uses of the vehicle, which can also be fitted with a 19.5cu.m. slurry tank and 25 or 27cu.m. trailer. Now Vredo is looking to develop other systems for fitting to the same chassis, which could soon include granular fertiliser and lime spreaders, and possibly even a sugar beet trailer.
