Dutch slurry equipment specialist Veenhuis now offers a technique that automatically alters slurry tanker application rates according to pre-programmed N, P and K requirements. Called Nutriflow, slurry is analysed by an NIR-sensor as it is pumped out of the tank, after which the Isobus control unit quickly calculates the N, P and K content and dry matter. Only one parameter can be selected. If this is nitrogen then the pump capacity is automatically increased or decreased to maintain the required application rate. Variations in the other parameters can be compensated for with extra liquid fertilisers from a front-mounted tank, which supplies nutrients directly to the injector outlets.
