Combining high capacity with precision, the Swedish manufacturer says the Inspire can be pulled behind tractors from 200hp and can operate at speeds up to 15km/hr.

There are two models; the seed-only 1200S, which has a 5,000-litre hopper, and the combi 1200C, which has an extra 2,200-litre fertiliser hopper in front of the main seed one for a 70/30 split. Seed and fertiliser are mixed in the same airstream and placed together in the same coulter tube. There are no cultivation tools. Seedbed preparation has to be done separately.

The Inspire is based on the Spirit coulter system mounted on a Tempo L frame. It is possible to control the seeding output in eight separate sections (four each side). Each section is fed separately via a Fenix III metering unit and through a 12-outlet distribution head. 1.5m section control is standard on both drills.

Each wing comprises two 3.0m sections with coulters. Row distance is 12.5cm and the coulters can be equipped with a harrow or CrossBoard Light. The two wings fold to the side of the hopper for a transport width and height of 3.0m and 4.0m respectively.

Operated via the iPad-based control system E-Control, it is possible to connect with a ISObus task control system. Test machines were out in the field this year and the Inspire will be launched at Agritechnica. Demonstration units will be available next spring and the 1200S will be available from October 2022. The 1200C will follow in March-April 2023.
