Väderstad recorded a turnover of around €534 million in 2024. While down 13% on the record approx. €610 million in 2023, it was still the second highest yearly total for the company.

The Swedish firm blames the lower result (year ran from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024) on high interest rates and lower grain prices, adding that deferred investment aid in many key markets significantly weakened investment opportunities for many farmers.

On top of this, difficult weather situations in many parts of Europe resulted in historically low harvests in several markets, and the unstable political situation also had a negative effect on sales.

Despite the difficult conditions, there were a few positive pointers and the company sold record numbers of Seed Hawk drills in Canada.

“In the coming year, new product innovations like Proceed and Seed Hawk 600-900C for the European market will go into production and will be important products for Väderstad moving forward,” said Henrik Gilstring, CEO of Väderstad Group, adding that the company remains stable in a tough market situation.
