The factory of Väderstad Components, a subsidiary of the Väderstad Group, is being expanded to produce more key hardened wearing parts for the company’s farm machinery.

During the past two years, the company has invested around £3.5 million (SEK 40 million) in rebuilding and expanding the Swedish factory and create a new automated production line.

Located near the town of Överum, the additional 2,000m² extension planned to start this autumn will bring the factory units together to prepare for anticipated expansion.

The plant manufactures a wide range of parts, including discs, points, rollers, packer rings, scrapers and bearings. The new unit is expected to be ready for the official opening early next year.

Väderstad Components claims to be the largest user of high-quality Swedish boron steel in the Nordic region. The facility currently provides work for 50 people. More jobs could be created in the future.
