The 47,500l capacity of the new flagship in the Väderstad PD air cart range is sufficient to seed 80ha of OSR in a single fill!

Air carts towed behind increasingly wider drills are popular in the large arable areas of North America and Canada, and as tractors get powerful there are plenty of horses to tow higher capacity versions. Sitting above the existing PD 1000 (32,500l), the PD 1350 holds 1,350 bushels (approx. 47,500l).

The optional AGI conveyor is said to fill the hoppers with seed and/or fertilizer in under 30 minutes. The PD 1350 is 15.4m long (16.4m with filling conveyor) and the height is a tad over 5.0m. The recommended working speed is 7-8km/hr.

The four hoppers (3,277l, 22,975l, 13,849l and 7,505l) on the largest Väderstad air cart to date provide plenty of options to work with different seeds and fertilizers. The hoppers are quite a bit wider than on the other models, but the road transport width of 6.65m is the same as the PD 1000.

The PD 1350 is a good match for the Väderstad Seed Hawk air drill. This is available in widths from 12.2m to 25.6m.

The front steering axle was redesigned to cope with the additional weight and there is no rubber track or super single option. The PD 1350 comes standard on duals; 710/70R42 front and 900/60R42 rear (hydraulic disc brakes on the rear axle).

There are now five PD models (400, 680, 820, 1000 and 1350) with capacities from 12,685-47,572l. Like the other models, the new range topper comes with wireless control, the Fenix III metering system, section control, and variable rate capabilities. Available in limited quantities for this season, the PD 1350 will be in full production for 2026.
