The construction of an additional 12,600m² extension at the factory in Väderstad is finished. Increasing the total production area of around 70,000m², the plant will soon have the capacity to produce 10,000 machines a year.
Assembly lines for Proceed and Tempo product lines, and a new paint shop, are currently being installed in the new building. Everything is planned to be in full use in 2025 when the site, which currently produces machines for all global sales regions (except North America).
“The continued expansion of our factory in Väderstad is in line with our long-time growth targets, and will benefit both our customers, our dealers and over time help create more job opportunities – as well as create a more efficient flow in our production,” comments Henrik Gilstring, CEO of Väderstad Group.
Mikael Peiponen, senior vice president of order to delivery at Väderstad, says that the company has launched several new products in the last couple of years like the Proceed V 24 and Seed Hawk 600-900C for the European and international markets, which both go into production in 2025. “This factory expansion will help us face the demand for these products and several others,” he adds.
