The new C-Mix Ultra tine and its automatic overload protection are the main talking point of the Cenius Ultra, a new model in the mounted cultivator range.
Available in working widths of 3.0m and 3.5m, and suitable for working at depths of 35cm on both light and heavy soils, the new tines lift quickly on light soils with large stones at the lower release force of 500kg.

Amazone says that this protects the frame from excessive loads and any stones remain below the surface. Where there is compaction, or on heavy clay soils, the pressure can be increased up to 800kg.
The overload protection system comprises individual hydraulic cylinders fitted to the tines along with central hydraulic accumulators. The company says that this provides highly damped resetting of the tine to the neutral position after triggering. Claimed benefits include reduced wear and tear on the overload protection system, even if it is frequently triggered.

Stepless adjustment of the hydraulic protection system is altered on the headstock. The pressure gauge is also located here and is visible from the tractor cab. The C-Mix Ultra tine can be combined with the wide C-Mix share system.
