Spiralling raw material and freight costs have forced Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) to further increase the price of its tyres. This is the fifth price hike since April 2021.

The company reckons to absorb the majority of raw material and freight costs but says there are limits. “Freight costs are factors we cannot control,” says Prabhakar Garimella of YOHT Europe. “We are feeling the increase as well, especially with this third freight surcharge since March 2021 totalling €3,250 per container.”

The new prices apply from April 1, 2022, and are applicable to tyres from all YOHT (Alliance, Galaxy and Primex) plants.
