The franchise contract between JCB Agriculture and Tuckwells will not be renewed when it expires at the end of this year. The dealer will continue to sell JCB machines up until December 31 2022, but has taken on the Kramer franchise and is already selling machines across its entire trading area including the branches in Essex and Suffolk that were previously selling JCB.

Tuckwells was first appointed as a JCB Agriculture dealer in 2007. Managing director James Tuckwell says it has been a very difficult decision for both companies. “While our focus and future is now with the Kramer brand, we will still be supporting JCB products in the field throughout 2022 and beyond, in order that we give our customers the smoothest transition possible.”

JCB Agriculture managing director John Smith adds: “Tuckwells has done an excellent job for JCB customers, and we have enjoyed a very strong working relationship with James and his team. It’s a relationship that has ensured customers received professional support for JCB products from Tuckwells’ sales, service and parts teams.

“We have reached agreement with two existing JCB Agriculture dealers to cover the territory and from January 1, 2023, G & J Peck will cover Suffolk and Oliver Landpower will cover Essex.

JCB says further details of the new dealer arrangements with G & J Peck and Oliver Landpower will be made available in the near future.

Both JCB and Tuckwells would like to assure customers that the partnership is ending on very amicable terms and our jointly agreed aim is to continue supporting our loyal customers, now and in the future.”

Mr Tuckwell adds that the company is extremely excited to be entering this new partnership with Kramer and reckons the future for the brand is strong and exciting. “Their design, innovation and German build quality is of the highest quality, and they are the perfect fit for Tuckwells and our customers.”

Kramer machines will be avialable across Tuckwell’s entire trading area including the branches in Essex and Suffolk that were previously selling JCB.
