The Shuttle, a new truck-mounted concept from Horsch, has been developed to reduce the downtime when filling high-capacity drill hoppers and sprayer tanks.
Supporting the existing 34m³ Titan chaser bin in the firm’s logistics range, the two Shuttle models include the 10000F, for seed and granular fertiliser, and the 8000L for liquids. The conveyor belt on the Shuttle 10000F (10,000-litre hopper) can load a drill with 2.0t of seed or fertiliser a minute, says the company.
Fitted with an 8000-litre stainless steel tank, the Shuttle 8000L has an 800-litre fresh water tank and a 3000lit/min pump for fast refilling. This model also uses the automatic internal continuous cleaning system from the Leeb LT trailed sprayer.
“Keeping high-performance drills and sprayers supplied with inputs is essential to maintaining a high daily work rate,” explains general manager Stephen Burcham at Horsch UK. “The Shuttle improves on-farm logistics, allowing operators to do this easily.”
An adaptive connection system allows both models to be mounted to the rear of a wide range of a 4wd vehicles (min. hydraulic flow 80lit/min), and the two Shuttles are fitted/removed using a telehandler or tractor loader. £POA.
