Tramspread’s new range of Suffolk dribble bars is available in eight widths from 6.0m to 24.0m.
Manufactured at a new facility in Suffolk, boom widths from 6.0m to 15.0m are made of galvanised steel. Suitable for fitting to tankers or tractors as umbilical applicators, they all fold vertically and are fitted with automatic transport latches with safety lock.
The booms fold vertically to reduce the transport width and allow access to the tractor hitch.
Made from an aluminium construction, the 24.0m version folds horizontally around the tractor cab. “The low profile does not block the view out of the rear of the tractor and the position of the swinging arm does not compromise the tractor’s pick-up hitch,” says Tramspread managing director, Terry Baker. “This allows the tractor to tow a pump or reeler whilst the dribble bars are fitted.”
All widths from 6.0m to 12.0m feature a single macerator and tractor spool valve controls. The 12.0m dribble bar is also available with twin macerators (standard on the 15.0m and 24.0m models), which come with electro-hydraulic folding mechanisms.
Left- and right-hand geometric control is standard on all twin macerator models and allows for independent boom height adjustment when working on undulating land.
Independent boom control enables the geometry of the booms to be adjusted for undulating land.
The Suffolk range has pipework designed for flow meters and slurry monitors to be retro fitted using the Tramspread ISObus Raven box. “This transmits monitoring and mapping data to a monitor in the cab, which should encourage all users to test and measure slurry to make the most of its nutrients,” says Mr Baker. “We have focussed on connectivity and automation for easy management and recording.”
