This striking version of New Holland’s T6.180 Methane Power tractor can be seen along the route and at the finish line of the 21 stages of this month’s Giro d’Italia 2022 cycling race. The wrap is inspired by the pink jersey (maglia rosa) worn by the race’s general classification leader.
The colourful result was first seen on a T5.120 Dynamic Command at the Fieragricola show in Verona in March to announce New Holland’s involvement as a sponsor at the 105th edition of the famous Italian cycling race.
New Holland is also competing with a team made up of company employees, dealers and customers, in a parallel race called Giro-E 2022. This pedal-assisted event takes place at the same time and covers the same route as the main race, covering the final sections of its 18 stages a few hours before the professional riders. This year’s edition of the Giro d’Italia started in Budapest a few days ago. The three-week event ends on May 29 in the Italian city of Verona.
New Holland brand president Carlo Lambro says the T6 Methane Power tractor is the culmination of the company’s pioneering work in the development of methane technology. “The T6 Methane Power tractor, now in production and available to our customers, is a vital link in our energy independent farm’s virtual cycle that delivers carbon neutral production.”
