French fertiliser spreader and seed drill manufacturer Sulky-Burel has opened a UK sales subsidiary. Part of the company’s strategy to develop the brand in European export markets, after France and Germany, the UK represents the next largest European farm machinery market for the company. The new subsidiary, Sulky Burel UK, will provide opportunities for closer relationships with the market and direct contact with farmers, to improve feedback and product development. A number of agricultural dealers have already agreed to distribute Sulky products which prior to November 1, 2015, were marketed through importer RECO. Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, the Sulky Burel headquarters shares sales and technical teams with Gregoire Besson. Promotion, sales and after-sales service is provided by a team of eight in the Bourne office, where a logistics centre for spare parts is also located.
