The frame of the latest version of the OPICO Sward-Lifter grassland subsoiler has been strengthened, and the cutting disc, which opens the sward in front of the subsoiler leg, is now mounted on a spring-loaded trailing arm.
This enables it to trip out of the way of obstacles more easily and protect the machine from damage, says the company. Available with shearbolt or hydraulic auto reset leg protection, other features, such as a reversible shin to protect the leg from wear, and individual spring-loaded rollers that follow each of the subsoiler legs to close the slots and level the surface, are unchanged.
Available in three working widths: 2.7m (three-leg), 3.0m (five-leg) and 4.5m (hydraulic-folding, five-leg), shearbolt protection prices start from £7,445. The three-leg (2.7m) model with hydraulic auto reset protection heading to LAMMA in January costs £10,697.
