Massey Ferguson is launching a special edition version of its 5610 which accomplished the 5,000km return journey to the South Pole last December. Available from next month, the special edition Antarctic2 tractor package includes an air-suspended seat, mechanical cab suspension, six LED lights, 540/540E/1000 rpm PTO, rear wiper and an AutoDrive Dyna-4 transmission. Featuring fenders as standard and special black paint on the engine grilles, the tractor wears the decals of the Antarctica2 expedition partners. Shod with Trelleborg tyres, each tractor will have its own Antarctica2 identification plate inside the cab, stamped with its special edition number. In all other ways, the tractor will be equivalent to a regular MF 5610 and built on the same production line in Beauvais, France.

Buyers of the special edition tractor will also be able to claim their very own Antarctica2 jacket, a replica of the one used by the expedition team during the journey.  “The one-off bundle of features developed especially for this tractor offer customers excellent value-for-money and potential added resale value,” says director sales engineering and brand development Campbell Scott of MF. “The journey to the South Pole was an epic, inspiring achievement and we’re expecting strong demand for the tractor.”
