While based on the current SP9, the semi-mounted SP8 plough has a lighter weight, and sees the rack and pinion system swapped for two cylinders with a patented oil flow distribution system for a smooth turnover. The SP8 also features a new crank leg design, which the company says requires less tractor hp, and results in reduced wear and tear. Available in 5-8 furrows, the new models will be tested in the UK this season. The new R8 fully-mounted plough (5+6 furrows) on the stand shares much of the technical spec with the existing RW8. The main difference is the newly-developed and simple to use manual vari-width adjustment system. The plan is to have both SP9 and R8 ploughs at Cereals.
