The French Farming press have announced details of a new agricultural machinery show in Paris which will be called SIA’PRO. Due to take place at the exhibition centre in Le Bourget in the North of the French capital over three days from February 23rd.
The machinery element of the show will run alongside SIA which takes place at the gates of Versailles. Organisers Comexposium and CENECA (Centre National des Expositions et Concours Agricol) the two fairs should compliment each other and help celebrate French agriculture.
The indoor SIA’PRO event will areas dedicated to robotics, data use and management as well as the usual array of farm machinery.
Speaking of the new event, Jérôme Despey, president of the Salon International de l’Agriculture and president of CENECA said “With these two shows organized in two distinct locations but under the same ambition, we are committed to strengthening the visibility and impact of agriculture on the national and international scene. Requiring more space, SIA’PRO is taking off at the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Center to help professionals facing the challenges and major developments in agriculture.”
Could this be the reinvention of SIMA mentioned in our news article earlier this year and now under a different name? That is something we don’t have an official answer for yet, but it would appear so.
