Same Deutz-Fahr has invested €10 million at its Bandirma tractor facility in Turkey during the past 18 months to double the production capacity to 15,000 tractors per year.
Reinforcing the role of the Turkish factory as a production hub serving domestic, European and global markets (50-150hp), some of the spend was on a new 10,000m² production building (total covered area now 27,360m².
There is also an additional paint shop, new transmission assembly line and test bench, new spare parts warehouse and a new training centre.
Bandirma is one of six SDF tractor plants. The others are at Treviglio, Italy (70-170hp); Lauingen, Germany (120-440hp); Ranipet, India (30-80hp); Suihua, China ( >200hp) and Linshu, China (25-270hp).
