Danish firm Samson Agro will preview its first tractor-mounted slurry tank filling arm at Agritechnica. Called the Front Arm Pump (FAP), the arm fills slurry tankers directly from a truck or tank at the headland.

Attaching to the front linkage, the arm is mounted on the right-hand side so as not to impede driver visibility. With a maximum reach of just over 3m, filling starts using a vacuum from the slurry tanker, which primes the centrifugal pump on the front fill system. The centrifugal pump then takes over to fill the tank at a maximum rate of 7,500lit/min, and stops automatically when the tank is full.

Fitted with integrated lights, the front storage compartment can be used for tools and other parts, and integrated mirrors and a camera system are available as an option. Adding around 1t to the front of the tractor, if more front weight is required then 500kg of metal plates can be added to the bottom of the FAP. The company says the front filling system can be quickly and easily removed without the use of tools, when it rests on support stands.

Samson Agro will also launch a new four-model range (28-40m³) of universal manure spreaders. The preview model coming to Hannover is the largest 40m³ triple-axle US 340. The Danish firm will also show a new single-axle 20m³ Flex II 20E. Based on the current Flex spreaders, the newcomer can be supplied on larger tyres and with new control and weighing systems. The recently-launched PG II 28 slurry tanker and SHB4 36m drip hose boom will also be on show for the first time in Germany.
