Customers from across Europe were not only able to see McConnel’s full range of remote control machines in action in Shropshire recently, but also had the opportunity to try them out at the ROBO2016 experience days. Staged for the first time, the three-day event attracted contractors, local authority teams, and environmental agencies from as far as Ireland and Switzerland – giving both new and experienced operators a chance to try out the machines on steep slopes in challenging working conditions. The largest collection of Robo machines ever assembled, on display were the Robocut, Robopower, Roboload, Robomoz and Robozero. A comprehensive range of attachments from stump grinders to snow blowers were also brought to the event, which also marked the working debut of Robomax, the new 80hp all-terrain work platform, which can tackle slopes of up to 55 degrees. B
