Swiss company Ecorobotix has released 10 new algorithms for its ARA precision sprayer.

The new ones allow it to work in broccoli, cauliflower, cotton, cereals (dicots), leeks, soybean, sweetcorn and cabbages, and it can also tackle potato volunteers in chicory. While still in the test phase, customers with an ARA sprayer can access the algorithms for free for a limited period.

There is more and following successful tests last year with new algorithms for carrots, and docks and thistles in grassland, all three are now available as paid options.

More than 20 crop algorithms are now available for the 6.0m ARA sprayer, which is claimed to reduce the use of chemicals by up to 95%. Working at speeds of up to 7.2km/hr, outputs of upwards of 4.0ha/hr are said to be possible (day and night).
