Disappointing news for anyone considering visiting PotatoEurope 2021 in the Netherlands this September. The show has been cancelled following ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Corona situation in the country and the lack of official approval from the authorities.
The decision to pull the plug on the outdoor event was made following in-depth discussions between the organiser DLG Benelux and exhibitors.
Managing director Kuno Jacobs of DLG Benelux says several positive signals towards the end of June indicated that the situation in the Netherlands seemed to be progressing well.
“This resulted in the lifting of various restrictions associated with the pandemic,” he said. “Unfortunately, it did not turn out as hoped.”
The next edition of PotatoEurope is planned for September 7-8, 2022, at Bockerode in Germany.
