John Deere headed the UK tractor market in 2019 accounting for 3,800 (28.1%) of the 13,545 registered units (over and under 50hp), reports the AEA.

Second place went to CNH with 3,518 (26.0%) units (Case IH 1,204 and New Holland 2,314). In third spot, AGCO brands secured a 24.6% (3,335) share of the total. Massey Ferguson accounted for the highest number of 1,665 (12.3%) units. Fendt (includes Challenger) registered 921 new tractors in the UK in 2019 and Valtra 749.

The rest of the top 10 positions were occupied Kubota with 887 units and 6.5% of the market. Claas accounted for 778 of the total and a 5.7% share of the total market.

In ninth spot is JCB with 278 units (2.1%). Same Deutz Fahr numbers totaled 243 (1.8%) and the combined market share of Agri Argo brands McCormick (103) and Landini (48) is 1.2%.

The data is released after a one year delay due to competition law restrictions; figures for 2020 are due to be published early 2022.
