The Överum name is returning to the Swedish made ploughs now that the CNH Industrial deal is finalised. Överum Industries has been established and will continue to supply New Holland during a soft transition and it also plans to bring back not just its own name but also Agrolux.
Purchased by a Munich based investment company in April, the plough business will operate as a stand-alone company based in Sweden. It plans to continue production of the current range but also ramp up research and development for new products.
Spare parts for both New Holland and Överum will continue to be provided to dealers with existing agreements with CNH and Överum Industries. Allan Hansson who was previously the product manager for the plough division at CNH industrial has been appointed head of sales and marketing at the new business.
Another key appointment is Stefano Scalarandis who is CEO of Överum Industries and has over a decade of experience in working at mid-sized manufacturing companies. His goal is to establish Overum Industries as a fully standalone and sustainable business, focusing on the technological development of ploughs and exploring further innovative products for the agricultural market, all while maintaining Överum’s historic high quality through its Swedish operations.
