Disappointing news for the thousands of people that normally make the annual pilgrimage to Essex to the Doe show. The 61st edition of the popular event will be an online only affair.
Given current Covid restrictions, Ernest Doe has taken the decision to host the sale of new and used stock via a dedicated microsite, created especially for the event, and an online auction, in partnership with machinery auctioneer, Cheffins.
Clearance stock and used machinery on offer will form a large part of the online event, and used, ex-demo, ex-hire and clearance items will all be available through the online auction.
There is also a dedicated webpage for each of the attending manufacturers, including Case IH and New Holland, filled with interactive videos and product walk throughs. In addition, several hundred show offers and finance packages can be found at the Doe Show Deals section of the website.
Graham Parker, sales director at Ernest Doe, says given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it would be irresponsible to hold the event in the physical sense. “This bold step forwards into the digital domain presents us with a unique opportunity to try something new and we very much hope you will join us for our Doe show with a difference.”
Cheffins will be providing a support team to help purchasers throughout the duration of the auction and will also not be charging buyer’s premiums, so the price you bid is the price you pay.
The Doe show will take place online from January 25 to February 4, 2021. For more information visit www.cheffins.co.uk or www.ernestdoe.com
