Italian tractor manufacturer Argo Tractors has opened a new facility to develop and manufacture transmissions for its McCormick, Landini and Valpadana brands.
Located in Campagnola, in the province of Reggio Emilia, the new site covers an area of 30,000m² and employs over 150 people. Each of the four assembly lines are supported by pre-assembly areas.
Line one is for transmissions for specialist and light and medium utility tractors; the second for tractors destined for low regulated emission markets. The third and fourth assembly lines are for transmissions for medium to high power tractors. There is also a testing (mechanical and hydraulic) area.
The location of the new facility in Reggio Emilia is no coincidence. All Landini, McCormick and Valpadana tractor ranges are manufactured at four other plants in the same province.
