Suitable for a range of different applications, including excavator/wheeled loader transport, bale handling and even shifting vegetable boxes, SlurryKat’s new range of low loaders currently comprises two standard models. The first is a 16t tandem axle 5.48m (18ft) flatbed with 1.52m (5ft) beaver tail, and the second, a 24t tri-axle 6.40m (21ft) flatbed with 1.52m (5ft) beaver tail. The Northern Ireland-based manufacturer says other sizes can be made to order. The full-length H beam chassis on both trailers is made from high-tensile steel, which the company reckons allows for better chassis performance when heavily loaded. High tensile steel is also used in all box section cross members and side supports running along the sides of the bed. The tread plating on the beaver tail and ramps provides extra grip when loading expensive machinery and equipment, and the two trailers have a low centre of gravity.

The high-speed axles have spring suspension, and the drawbar is also fully sprung to soften the ride for the towing tractor. LED road lighting, air/hydraulic brakes, a front headboard and a tool box are part of the standard spec.
