Pottinger has increased the production capacity of its rake and round baler facility at St. Georgen in Austria with an additional 7,900m² building. A highlight of the €33 million investment is a new paint shop.

Following on from an earlier spend of €25 million at the plant in 2021, the new priming and coating is used for rake and round baler parts, which were previously delivered from the painting line at Grieskirchen.

The automotive quality paint finish using cathodic dip priming and powder coating. No solvent is used in the mixing and application of the coatings.

“The impact-resistant coating lasts the lifetime of the product and was one of the reasons why we also invested in a painting line at this location,” comments Gregor Dietachmayr, speaker of the executive board.

In addition to the approximately 60 employees assembling Impress round balers, large Top rakes and Mergento mergers, another 50 jobs will be created at the expanded site at St. Georgen.
