Final assembly of Amazone’s UX trailed sprayers has been transferred to an assembly hall at a newly-opened facility at a 24ha industrial site near Bramsche, Germany.
Located just 25km from company HQ in Hasbergen-Gaste, the new building includes assembly, dispatch and storage halls across a floor area of 16,000m² as well as an administration building. The number of employees on the production line, pre-assembly, logistics and administration will increase to about 150 during the next 12 months.
Designed to handle large machinery, total investment at the new site so far amounts to around €16 million. So far, just 5ha of the 24ha at the new location have been built on leaving plenty of scope for further development.
The new site, which is in addition to the existing German production facilities in Gaste and Leeden, allows the company to expand its local production capacities, and the space created at the existing production sites following the transfer of UX final assembly provides Amazone with additional manufacturing capacity.
