Located near the main facility in Grieskirchen (Austria), the new production site in St. Georgen is now open and assembling Impress round balers and large Top rakes.
Providing 6,300m² of production space on a 17ha site, the first phase of the expansion phase was completed in a year at a cost of €25m.
It does not stop here. New machines are in demand, says the Austrian manufacturer, and another €45m has been earmarked for further expansion to double the current production area.
“We are pleased with the positive development of our business and want to use the momentum of current demand to achieve sustainability by expanding distribution and introducing new products,” said Gregor Dietachmayr, spokesperson for the management team.
The opening of the new site brings the total number of Pöttinger production plants to four. This others include the main one in Grieskirchen (grassland equipment). Plus, there is also facilities at Bernburg in Germany (drills) and Vodnany in the Czech Republic (tillage equipment).
