The SVgroup, which already owns Dutch manufacturers Schuitemaker and Veenhuis, has acquired Jan Veenhuis Machinefabriek, the Dutch trailer and hook-arm system manufacturer.
Effective January 1, 2023, this latest purchase not only expands the SVgroup’s product portfolio, but also brings the original Veenhuis family business back together after 27 years of being operated as separate companies since 1996.
Marc Veenhuis of Jan Veenhuis is convinced that the acquisition is the right move. “The customer base is a good fit, and with Wadinko (Dutch venture capital investment company with a stake in the SVgroup) as a shareholder I am confident that the continuity and employment of the company will be guaranteed.”
SVgroup managing director Jos Kamp comments that Jan Veenhuis produces a premium product that fits perfectly with its premium slurry and forage harvesting brands Schuitemaker and Veenhuis. “Also, it expands our production capacity by allowing us to add an additional production location,” he adds.
