Lynx Engineering has appointed Tomás Meehan as the company’s new area sales manager for Ireland. He will take over the role to be vacated by Nicky Murphy who retired at the end of August.
Based in Tipperary, Tomás will be responsible for sales of Stoll front loaders (including the new Profilift FZ35/35.1) and accessories, Zuidberg front linkages and PTOs, Zuidberg track systems and various other own-brand and imported products distributed by Lynx in a territory that covers the whole of Ireland.
Tomás Meehan is the new area sales manager for Lynx Engineering in Ireland.
A huge fan of hurling and Gaelic football, Tomás joins Lynx from his previous position at Murphy Machinery in Kilkenny, where he worked as a sales representative. Before then, he was at Genfitt, County Mayo, wholesale distributors of farm machinery parts and components to the trade, where he held a sales role for three years.
“Lynx represents some of the most prestigious brands in the agricultural machinery sector,” says Tomás. “When the situation with Covid allows, I look forward to meeting and working closely with our dealers to develop these brands and to build on the excellent reputation enjoyed by Lynx in Ireland.”
Incidentally, the main picture is of the new FZ35/35.1, which plugs the gap between the FZ30/30.1 and FZ45/45.1 in the Profilift FZ range. Suitable for tractors in the 90-140hp range, the lift cylinders on the FZ35/35.1 have a piston diameter of 72mm and the maximum lift height is 4.07m.
