Replacing the previous 6M, 6MC and 6RC Series, John Deere’s latest range of 6M tractors includes four new four-cylinder models (6090M, 6100M, 6110M and 6120M) from 90 to 120hp.
Described as the most compact 6M Series tractor so far, the low bonnet design provides a clear view to the front, and loader operators will benefit from the slimmer steering wheel cowl and the newly designed panoramic window in the cab roof.
The short 2.4m wheelbase results in a turning circle of 4.35m on the new four-cylinder models. Despite their slim design, these full-frame concept tractors feature a maximum permissible gross weight of 10.45t; payload capacity of up to 4.7t.
All the important operating functions inside the newly designed 70dB(A) cab are located on the redesigned right-hand panel, while models equipped with the CommandQuad transmission can be optionally fitted with a Compact CommandArm, with the functions located on the armrest.
Power to the four new four-cylinder models comes from a 4.5-litre PowerTech EWL engine, while the 6130M, 6140M and 6145M have a 4.5-litre PowerTech PSS block.
Larger models are powered by six-pot 6.8-litre PVS engines. The smaller 6090M to 6140M tractors also feature Intelligent Power Management (IPM) for the first time, which increases performance by 20hp for pto work and transport (four-cylinder 6140M develops a max. power of 166hp with IPM).
Customers can choose from three different gearbox options: PowrQuad, AutoQuad and CommandQuad Plus, and all models can be equipped with a StarFire 6000 satellite receiver and the 4240 or 4640 GreenStar displays.
Up to four mechanical or electric SCVs are available – the latter is a new option available for the first time on these tractors, which can be ordered from dealers from the end of September.
